A sauna is a place of relaxation, wellness, and comfort. However, like any other facility, it requires proper accessories and occasional part replacements to function safely and effectively. Many sauna owners in Kenya struggle to find genuine accessories and reliable spare parts when their units develop faults. This is where Refitec Kenya comes in — your trusted partner for sauna accessories and replacement parts services.
Why Sauna Accessories Matter
Sauna accessories are not just luxury add-ons; they are essential for a safe and enjoyable sauna experience. A missing thermometer or a faulty hygrometer means you cannot monitor heat and humidity levels accurately, which can lead to discomfort or even health risks. Similarly, a worn-out door handle or damaged bench can compromise safety.
At Refitec Kenya, we stock a wide range of sauna accessories designed to suit both residential and commercial saunas.
Our Sauna Accessories Range
- Sauna buckets and ladles – Available in wood and stainless steel for pouring water on hot stones to generate steam.
- Thermometers and hygrometers – For accurate monitoring of temperature and humidity inside the sauna cabin.
- Sand timer (hourglass) – A traditional accessory that helps users track their sauna sessions safely.
- Headrests and backrests – Ergonomically designed wooden supports for maximum comfort.
- Sauna lighting fixtures – Heat-resistant lamps designed specifically for high-temperature environments.
- Wooden benches, backrests, and floor grating – Durable, treated timber fittings that withstand heat and moisture.
Did you know? Using ordinary plastic accessories inside a sauna is dangerous. High temperatures can cause plastic to warp, melt, or release harmful fumes. Always choose heat-resistant materials such as treated wood, stainless steel, or tempered glass.
Sauna Replacement Parts Services
Even the best-maintained saunas eventually need replacement parts. Heating elements wear out, control panels fail, and door seals become loose over time. Delaying repairs can turn a minor issue into a major breakdown, leaving your sauna out of use for weeks.
Refitec Kenya supplies and fits genuine replacement parts for all major sauna brands and models. Our replacement parts services include:
- Sauna heater elements – Replacement heating elements and coils for electric sauna heaters.
- Control panels and thermostats – Digital and analog controllers, timers, and sensors.
- Sauna door components – Handles, hinges, magnetic catches, and heat-resistant seals.
- Heater stones – Genuine olivine and gabbro stones that hold and radiate heat effectively.
- Sauna lights and bulbs – Heat-rated lighting replacements.
- Ventilation grilles and vents – For proper airflow and heat circulation.
- Infrared sauna parts – Carbon and ceramic heating panels, reflectors, and wiring.
| Part/Accessory | Common Signs It Needs Replacement |
|---|---|
| Heater element | Sauna takes too long to heat or fails to reach temperature |
| Door seal | Heat escaping, door not closing tightly |
| Control panel | Unresponsive buttons, erratic temperature readings |
| Heater stones | Crumbling, cracking, or reduced steam quality |
| Bench wood | Splintering, warping, or discoloration |
Pro Tip: Replace sauna heater stones every one to two years, depending on usage. Old, cracked stones restrict airflow through the heater, reducing efficiency and potentially damaging the heating elements.
